Close to 60 new movies and series are scheduled to touch down on Netflix US this week.
Welcome along to another spectacularly busy week of new arrivals on Netflix in the United States. With close to 60 brand new titles arriving, most of which are critically acclaimed K-drama series, there’s a good selection to watch this week. However, many would argue it’s the calm before the storm, given that Stranger Things finally returns next week.

What to Watch on Netflix This Week
This Is Going To Hurt (Season 1)
Coming to Netflix: Wednesday
Netflix’s output from AMC continues this week with one of their British pickups from the BBC arriving on Netflix US for the first time in the middle of the week. Black Doves star Ben Whishaw leads the series, which is based on the book, with the author also adapting it for the screen. The medical black comedy follows junior doctors working in a busy ward as they navigate the highs and lows of their department, obstetrics and gynaecology.
Train Dreams (2025)
Coming to Netflix: Friday
Prestige season for Netflix’s movie lineup continues this week with the release of its Sundance pickup Train Dreams. Directed by Clint Bentley, who co-wrote the script with Greg Kwedar, the film adapts the 2011 book by Denis Johnson. It follows the life of a logger in the early 1900s as America begins its transformation into the modern world. The story centers on Robert Grainier, who, like many men of the era, spent long stretches away from his family while building the nation’s railroad infrastructure, making every moment with his young family feel all the more precious.
The cast is led by Joel Edgerton and Felicity Jones, with standout additional performances from William H. Macy, Clifton Collins Jr., and Kerry Condon.
Lilly (2025)
Coming to Netflix: Wednesday
Making its streaming video-on-demand debut on Netflix this week is Lilly, released in theaters over the Summer. The movie, headlined by Patricia Clarkson, documents the life of Lilly Ledbetter, who spent years supervising an Alabama tire factory to give her family a better life, enduring harassment for a steady paycheck. Near retirement, she discovered she’d been paid far less than her male coworkers, a betrayal that sent her on a fight for justice from the Supreme Court to the White House. Her case transformed her from an everyday worker into a national symbol of pay equity, proving how one determined voice can spark sweeping change.
