‘True Beauty’ Popular K-Drama Coming to Netflix in December 2025
The popular South Korean romantic comedy series True Beauty is coming to Netflix US in December 2025! This will be the first time that the series has been available to stream from the US library.
True Beauty is a South Korean romantic comedy series directed by Kim Sang Hyub (Extraordinary You) and written by screenwriter Lee Shi Eun (Lovely Runner), and is an adaptation of the webtoon of the same name by author Yaongyi. The series was originally broadcast on the South Korean cable network tvN from December 9, 2020, to February 4, 2021, and was available to stream outside Korea on Amazon Prime Video, Viki, and Rakuten Viki.
The series is centred on Lim Joo Kyung (played by Mun Ka Young), a high school girl who rises to the top of her school after becoming a YouTube makeup star. Worshipped by those around her, she would rather die than reveal her face without makeup to anyone. However, Lee Su Ho (played by Cha Eun Woo) is the only boy she has ever seen without makeup, and despite his cold demeanour, he is actually very caring. Upon meeting, the pair confides in each other, and as they share their secrets, they grow closer.
When is True Beauty coming to Netflix?

Who are the cast members of True Beauty?
Mun Ka Young plays Lim Joo Kyung. The actress has yet to star in a Netflix Original series, but will appear in a cameo role in the upcoming series Cashero. She is best known for starring in dramas such as My Dearest Nemesis, Link: Eat, Love, Kill, and Welcome to Waikiki.
Cha Eun Woo plays Lee Su Ho. He has yet to star in a Netflix series, but will be one of the leads in the upcoming series The Wonder Fools. He is best known for his work outside of acting as an idol, including his time as a member of the K-pop group ASTRO and as a solo artist. He has starred in K-dramas such as Wonderful World and Island.
