Netflix will help launch Koati, a new series starring Griselda and Modern Family’s Sofía Vergara. The new series is set to launch on the streamer in select territories beginning on November 13th, 2025.

Koati is a new animated series following Nachi, Xochi, Pako, and Xuxu, four adorable creatures from the Latin American rainforest, as they explore the magical land of XO. Through music, dance, comedy, and adventure, the series teaches children about friendship, kindness, and the beauty of nature.

Created and executive produced by Sofía Vergara, Melissa de Assís Escobar, and Anabella Sosa Dovarganes, Koati brings together leading Hispanic producers, artists, and influencers to craft a vibrant celebration of culture, wildlife, and family. Set in a lush rainforest inspired by real Latin American landscapes, each episode nurtures curiosity, compassion, and emotional intelligence through joyful stories children can connect with.

The series is written by Melissa Escobar and Federico Marcello, with Fernando Sawa and Sergio Slepczuk directing, and Anabella Sosa-Dovarganes serving as showrunner.

It serves as a follow-up to the 2021 movie of the same name, which also featured Vergara and was produced by Timeless Films, which has worked with Netflix on Scrooge: A Christmas Carol in the past and is also known for films like Extinct and Grand Prix of Europe.
