‘Rabbit’Rabbit’ Adam Driver Netflix Series: Everything We Know so Far

Adam Driver leads Netflix’s new series Rabbit, Rabbit.

A brand-new series starring Adam Driver is to be directed by Philip Barantini, the Emmy Award-winning director of Adolescence, at Netflix. Known as Rabbit, the series will see Driver star as an escaped convict who, after being cornered by law enforcement, takes hostages at a truck stop. The series is still in early development, but here’s everything we know so far about Rabbit, Rabbit.

Rabbit, Rabbit is an upcoming Netflix Original series directed by Philip Barantini (Adolescence) and written by Peter Craig. The series will be produced by Night Owl and MRC Television, with Bryan Unkeless (The Hunger Games) and Samantha Beddoe (Boiling Points) as executive producers. Peter Craig is also listed as a producer.

What is the plot of Rabbit, Rabbit?

A synopsis for the series has been sourced from Netflix:

“When an escaped convict is cornered by law enforcement at a truck stop, he takes hostages in an effort to bargain for his freedom. But the standoff soon escalates into an unmanageable social experiment with his captives — and an emotional poker match with a veteran FBI Crisis Negotiator trained in “tactical empathy.”.”


Who are the cast members of Rabbit, Rabbit?

So far, the only confirmed cast member for Rabbit, Rabbit is Adam Driver. So far, Driver has only starred in two projects for Netflix, Marriage Story and White Noise, the latter of which he narrowly missed out on an Academy Award for Best Actor to Joaquin Phoenix’s performance in The Joker.

The series is still in early development, and there’s no indication when pre-production will begin or when filming will start.

We expect it will be a few months yet before we receive an update on production.


When will Rabbit, Rabbit be released on Netflix?

This largely depends on the time spent on development and then production.

If filming takes place in 2026, then we could expect to see the series on Netflix sometime in 2027.

For now, we expect either a second-half 2027 or 2028 release.
