On November 22nd, 2025, Netflix in the United States will serve as the streaming home for Oh, Hi!, a new romantic comedy released in theaters over the Summer and coming just a few weeks after its VOD premiere.

Sophie Brooks directs and co-writes Oh, Hi! alongside lead star Molly Gordon. Leading the cast alongside Gordon is Logan Lerman, best known for The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and he is also coming off a recent run on Hulu’s popular series Only Murders in the Building. Rounding out the cast are David Cross, Geraldine Viswanathan, John Reynolds, Polly Draper, and Desmin Borges.

The film follows Iris, who stumbles into a not-quite-relationship that pushes her deeper into emotional confusion than she expects. What begins as something casual quickly becomes tangled, forcing her to confront how much of herself she is willing to bend to keep someone close. As misunderstandings grow and boundaries blur, Iris finds herself spiraling through jealousy, impulsive choices, and moments of uncomfortable self-reflection.

The movie received mostly positive reviews from critics upon its release and fared even better with audiences. Matthew Koss from The Wandering Screen praised the movie for balancing sharp humor with emotional vulnerability, calling it smart without being cynical. Natasha Alvar at The Fiction Department highlighted its refreshing originality in a crowded rom-com landscape. Chris Tait described it as one of the funniest films he’d seen recently, pointing to a return of real comedy in movies.

As of publication, the film holds a 63% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 6.2/10 on IMDb.

The movie is coming to Netflix, but only in the United States, courtesy of a first window deal Netflix has with Sony Pictures and its various subsidiaries, including Sony Pictures Classics. That deal has seen many movies from this smaller label within Sony come to Netflix throughout 2025, including Tilda Swinton’s The Room Next DoorThe Outrun starring Saoirse Ronan, and Becoming Led Zeppelin. As always, Netflix will hold the movie for 18 months before it moves over to Disney-owned services.
