KPop Demon Hunters Sets Near Global Return To Theaters for Halloween 2025

Netflix is taking KPop Demon Hunters back to theaters this Halloween, and it’s going to be a bigger rollout than the one over the Summer, with AMC notably joining in on the party in the United States and more countries also getting limited releases between October 31st and November 2nd, 2025.
The special event will run for one weekend only, from Friday, October 31, through Sunday, November 2, letting fans belt out the film’s infectious soundtrack while reliving the action-packed adventure that turned the movie into a global sensation.
This marks the third time the movie has been available in theaters following its initial run alongside its Netflix release and a special weekend event beginning August 23rd.
In the United States, the sing-along will be available across all three major theater chains — AMC, Regal, and Cinemark — along with select independent venues. AMC was a holdout for the first go around and it looks like they’re righting the ship.
It will also expand internationally, screening in theaters across the UK, Ireland, Korea, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, and New Zealand. A few of these did showcase the movie the first time around, although many new countries are amongst the mix.
Tickets for the US and Canada go on sale Thursday, October 17 at 6 a.m. PT. You’ll be able to find a nearby screening through participating theater websites once ticket links go live. For all other countries, local listings will provide showtimes and ticket availability. A special website for ordering tickets can be found here.
The sing-along edition will remain the same edition that hit theaters back in late August and the one that was added to Netflix soon after.
That said, it’s definitely worth experiencing KPop Demon Hunters in a whole new way, complete with on-screen lyrics, remixed sequences, and crowd-friendly moments perfect for group participation.
The event follows the film’s continued popularity since its release earlier this year, when it became one of Netflix’s most-watched movies of all time after 91 days and still remains in the weekly top 10 as of the time of writing. It just spent its 17th week on that top 10 list, with the movie now picking up 651.20 million hours watched, equating to 390.50 million views.
Last week, Netflix uploaded many of the special lyric videos to the platform, which have already picked up hundreds of millions of views on YouTube, with more promised to be coming soon.
Still no word on a sequel just yet, although those conversations are understood to be underway. Sony Pictures Animation recently submitted an animated short titled Debut: A KPOP Demon Hunters Story to the official US ratings board, though whether that ever sees the light of day remains to be seen, given that we reported at the time that it appears to be an up-and-coming project as part of a Sony Pictures Animation mentorship program.
