‘It’s My First Show After Surgery’: Rapper Hanumankind Ends Performance By Sending Love To Fans
Hanumankind made a powerful return at Royal Enfield Motoverse 2025 in Goa, performing hits like Reckless and Big Dawgs after knee surgery.
Rapper Hanumankind made a powerful return to live performance at Royal Enfield Motoverse 2025, energising the opening day of the festival with his first stage appearance since undergoing knee surgery earlier this year.
Taking over the main stage in Vagator, Goa, on Friday night, the rapper — whose real name is Sooraj Cherukat — stepped back under the spotlight to an overwhelming response from the crowd. As lights swept across the arena and visuals pulsed in sync with the music, he launched into a high-intensity set featuring Reckless, The Last Dance, Police At the Door, Rush Hour and Damson.
Addressing the audience early in his performance, he said, “Hello Goa, this is my first performance after my knee surgery… But you see me walking those steps baby. It’s been three months now, but I am so grateful to be able to perform with you guys as my first show after the surgery. Thank you for having me. I really appreciate it.”
Once on stage, Hanumankind slipped seamlessly back into performance mode, matching gritty delivery with the festival’s heavy bass and lighting design. Throughout the set, he made the audience an active part of the experience, encouraging them to sing along, respond to cues and enjoy the performance even if they were unfamiliar with the lyrics.
“If you don’t know the songs, just vibe to it,” he told the crowd, at one point adding, “Don’t get too rowdy.”
The finale brought some of the night’s loudest reactions as he closed with fan favourites Big Dawgs and Run It Up, drawing the set to an explosive finish. Before exiting the stage, he admitted the crowd’s energy pushed him beyond his planned limits: “I was supposed to take it easy, but you didn’t let me. I feel so good. Thank you for bringing me back on stage.”
Elsewhere at the festival, Thaikkudam Bridge delivered a standout moment with a live rendition of the popular Kantara tune, adding to the diverse musical showcase. Motoverse 2025 continues to bring together bikers and music enthusiasts against the scenic backdrop of Goa’s coastline.
