‘In Your Dreams’ and ‘The Beast in Me’ Make Middling Debuts on Netflix’ ‘Last Samurai Standing’ and ‘As You Stood By’ Soar
All the biggest stories from the weekly top 10s for the week ending November 16th, 2025.
Welcome back to another top 10 deep dive. There were several new Netflix Original titles last week, so we’ll be covering all their first-week debuts below, along with a few other interesting stories from the Netflix top 10s. Here’s a look at everything from the Netflix viewership charts for November 10, 2025, to November 16, 2025.
A couple of omissions. Nouvelle Vague, the Richard Linklater black-and-white film, received strong reviews but failed to enter the daily top 10s in the United States, and since it was not made available elsewhere, it was always going to be a tough climb. In the end, it did not make the cut. Still no appearance for The Vince Staples Show S2 in its first full week in the top 10s. Mrs. Playmen, the Italian period series, also failed to strike a chord and was absent from the non-English TV list.
A reminder, you can see the full weekly top 40 on Netflix’s own top 10 site or through our search tool.
First up, the weekly ranks. How did this week compare against other weeks dating back to mid-2023?
- English TV: 34,600,000 views (Rank 110 of 126 weeks)
- English Film: 94,200,000 views (Rank 20 of 126 weeks)
- Non-English TV: 38,900,000 (Rank 14 of 126 weeks)
- Non-English Film: 32,700,000 (Rank 70 of 126 weeks)
1. The Beast in Me

Last week, Death By Lightning premiered and didn’t do all that well in the top 10s, but we haven’t had to wait long for a new prestige limited series to hit our screens, with The Beast in Me hitting on November 13th – did it do any better? Yes, but still nothing groundbreaking. It topped the charts with 45.4M view hours watched, which equates to 6.9M views. Given that it’s almost certainly going to get swallowed up by Stranger Things next week, I don’t think we’ll be seeing this one for many weeks to come. It did a few hundred thousand more views than Black Rabbit, but notably less than the likes of All The Light We Cannot See and The Madness.

2. In Your Dreams goes middle of the road…
In Your Dreams is Netflix’s big animated feature film to cap off an unprecedented year for the division, given that KPop Demon Hunters has and continues to defy any and all expectations. With a Pixar alum at the helm of this animated film, a lot of hope was put into In Your Dreams, but did it deliver? Yes and no. It debuted in the #4 spot after three days of release with 12.6M hours watched, equating to 8.3M views. Compared to other animated film launches over the past few years, it falls around the middle of the pack, on par with Spellbound and The Monkey King.
Animated movies have long legs, so it’ll be interesting to see how this one evolves in the weeks to come. FlixPatrol’s daily top 10 data showed the movie began falling off over the weekend, but on Monday, it clawed back a bunch of positions, so fingers crossed more people stumble onto the movie, as it’s an adventure worth taking
3. Last Samurai Standing

A big new Japanese period thriller touched down last week and has been building buzz throughout the weekend. It debuted with 6.2M views, putting it above most other Japanese live-action titles released on a Thursday over the past few years but slightly behind Alice in Borderland’s most recent third season and Yu Yu Hakusho, both of which are established or based on big IP—a big win in our books.
4. Frankenstein Rises 16% but no signs of being a mega hit…
Frankenstein is performing very much like a Netflix movie, with a modest rise in its first full week on the platform of 16%. Although it debuted fifth in Netflix’s 2025 premieres, it’s actually now surpassed Havoc, which was a little softer in week 2, although quite some distance behind Happy Gilmore 2 and Back in Action. For a prestige movie, however, it’s doing very well.
5. Delhi Crime returns with season 3
After waiting three years, the Indian crime drama is back for a third season. Sadly, we’re unable to compare against the prior two seasons, as they didn’t feature in the top 10s, as they didn’t exist. Comparing against other Thursday Hindi series debuts, though, and considering the incredibly long wait, 2.3M views is not bad by any stretch.
5. Netflix’s First Christmas Movie Drops: A Merry Little Ex-Mas

It’s the Christmas season, but Netflix may have bolted a bit too soon with the festive joy: A Merry Little Ex-Mas debuted relatively low, with only 12.8M views, ranking it well below other Christmas Wednesday movie releases in recent years. It’s got a few more swings in the weeks to come, so we’ll keep you posted.

6. As You Stood By Gets Huge Week 2 Boost
Last week, we reported that the week 1 debut for the new Korean limited series As You Stood By placed it around the middle of the pack when compared against other Netflix Korean shows released on a Friday. This week, it’s grown big time now, putting it firmly at the top of all other comparisons by quite some margin. Its viewing hours grew from 19M in week 1 to 65M in week 2, a 242% increase. While I can’t speak for everyone tuning in, we can definitely see the show doing well on TikTok.

7. Being Eddie
A couple of documentary debuts last week, with Being Eddie being the biggest. The retrospective looks back at Eddie Murphy’s life, but compared to other celeb documentaries and docu-series released on Wednesdays, it falls toward the
Other Check-Ins
Let’s begin with The Witcher season 4, which dropped a whopping 51% in viewing hours this week 3. We’ve already concluded that The Witcher is going out on Netflix with a whimper, given that it’s trailing massively behind season 2 and even season 3, which released with half the runtime and got a boost in week 5 with the release of part 2. A disaster for a franchise that was supposed to be one of Netflix’s flagships. You can see the hours chart below (not the views given that season 3 was split) of the evolution so far:
If we switch to just views comparing season 2 and season 4, we can see that in week 3, season 2 had 52.7M views, and season 4 now has 18.3M. That’s a 65% drop…

Nobody Wants This ranks 10th this week, suggesting it’s very much likely to drop out next week (season 1 spent 6 weeks in the top 10s uninterrupted), so let’s do a final check-in with season 1 vs season 2, and the drop is clear to see, with around a 40% drop in views one month into release. The show’s future is secured, but given the drop-off, it could suggest seasons 3 or perhaps 4 may be bringing the story to a close.
Last week, we put Squid Game: The Challenge firmly in disaster territory with a whopping 80%+ viewership drop. Despite a big push on TUDUM and socials, there’s no clawing back the big gap between season 1 and 2.
