Netflix has officially unveiled the first teaser and even more first look new photos for Emily in Paris season 5, giving fans a glamorous glimpse of Emily’s next adventure — this time in Italy. Lily Collins’ Emily is trading the Seine for the canals of Venice as she continues to navigate love, work, and life’s beautiful chaos.

All ten episodes of the fifth season will arrive globally on Netflix on December 18th, 2025. Filming on the new season began in May 2025 and wrapped up in mid-August. As you can probably guess, it was filmed mostly in Paris but also in iconic Italian cities like Rome and Venice. It briefly paused production after an on-set death.

In the new season, Emily has taken on a bold new chapter as head of Agence Grateau Rome. But the shift from Paris to Rome brings no shortage of drama. Professionally, a risky idea backfires, causing ripple effects that hit both her career and her heart. Personally, a long-buried secret threatens to unravel one of her closest friendships. As Emily leans further into her French lifestyle and newfound Italian sensibilities, she begins to rediscover who she is — and what she truly wants.

The new season stars Lily Collins (also serving as producer), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Lucien Laviscount, Eugenio Franceschini, Thalia Besson, Paul Forman, Arnaud Binard, Minnie Driver, Bryan Greenberg, and Michèle Laroque.

Created by Darren Star, the series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Darren Star Productions, and Jax Media, with Star also serving as executive producer alongside Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Stephen Brown, Alison Brown, Robin Schiff, Grant Sloss, and Joe Murphy.

The new teaser, embedded below, comes with the tease: “Hearts will Rome farther than ever before.”

The news comes a day after Ted Sarandos name-checked the series as one of the returning titles in 2026. Of course, this obviously doesn’t apply to season 5 of Emily in Paris, given that it’s in the last month of 2025, but did he potentially let loose that season 6 is already in the works, or was it a simple mispeak? We’ll get to find out soon enough.
