Two years after returning to Netflix from an eight-year hiatus, all four seasons of Ugly Betty are scheduled to leave the Netflix library in August 2025.
Ugly Betty is an American comedy-drama series developed by Silvio Horta, and is the English adaptation of Fernando Gaitán’s Yo soy Betty, la fea. The series was produced by ABC Studios and aired on the ABC network for four seasons (85 episodes) between September 2006 and April 2010.
It starred America Ferrera as the lead character, Betty Suarez, a kind-hearted young woman from Queens, New York, who begins her career as a personal assistant for the editor-in-chief of the fashion magazine Mode. Her lack of fashion sense is eye-catching, but despite her hostile work environment, Betty is determined to maintain her sunny disposition and positive outlook on life.
