With the debut of Stranger Things 5, November 2025 is instantly one of Netflix’s biggest months of the year. And there’s plenty more where that comes from. Here are 9 new (and old) Netflix and licensed series you can’t miss in November.
While Stranger Things 5 will undoubtedly take the headlines for November 2025, the month still has a lot else to look forward to, whether it’s new Christmas titles or any of the other titles. You can find a full, comprehensive preview of everything due to come in November here.
Squid Game: The Challenge (Season 2)
Coming to Netflix: November 2, 2025
Korean survival drama Squid Game is the most successful show in Netflix’s illustrious history. The series, which follows a group of cash-strapped contestants taken to an island where they play sadistic games to win a gigantic cash prize, was re-worked into a reality show back in 2023. Without the death, of course.
Squid Game: The Challenge, season 1, was totally okay. It seamlessly translated the games from the show into an entertaining game show format. In season 2, Squid Game: The Challenge introduces new games and twists to be played by all-new contestants. Who will take home the $4.56 million cash prize?
Death by Lightning
Coming to Netflix: November 6, 2025
Death by Lightning is an instantly striking series thanks to its stellar cast, which features Michael Shannon, Nick Offerman, and Michael Macfadyen. Created by Mike Makowsky, the miniseries, which runs at a criminally small episode count, chronicles the true story of James Garfield, reluctant 20th president of the United States, and his greatest admirer, Charles Guiteau — the man who would come to kill him. The series is based on the best-selling novel Destiny of the Republic by Candice Millard.
The Vince Staples Show (Season 2)
Coming to Netflix: November 6, 2025
In The Vince Staples Show, the American rapper plays… himself. Well, he plays a fictionalized version of himself. Thought-provoking, deadpan, and often laugh-out-loud funny, the show follows Staples as he navigates everyday life in Long Beach, finding himself dropped in a mix of mundane, wacky, and chaotic situations.
“The Vince Staples Show is back! The people have spoken, and the most riveting, captivating, and polarizing show on Netflix is returning for Season 2,” Staples teased, per TUDUM. “Get ready for hijinks that only a mother can love. Thank you, Netflix!”
The Beast in Me (Limited Series)
Coming to Netflix: November 13, 2025
Netflix’s The Beast in Me asks the question: When you chase a monster, what do you become? This twisty and psychological 8-episode drama comes from creator Gabe Rotter (The X-Files) and follows Aggie Wiggs (Claire Danes), a grieving writer, who becomes entangled in the life of her new neighbor Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys) — a man once accused of killing his wife. Who is he really? And what’s the true story behind the crime he was accused of?
Last Samurai Standing
Coming to Netflix: November 13, 2025
If you blend Battle Royale with samurai, you get Last Samurai Standing. A gritty, historical survival drama, Last Samurai Standing has all the hallmarks of being another hugely popular Netflix series. Set in 1878, 292 samurai gather for a game that, if won, awards them a gigantic cash prize. The game? Reach Tokyo by any means possible, even if that means they have to kill each other.
Netflix has shown time after time that survival dramas, particularly in the ‘battle royale’ format like Squid Game and Alice in Borderland, are always big hitters. If Last Samurai Standing finds the right audience, we could be looking at another massive hit.
Minx

Picture: Starz
A lighter month so far with regards to licensed titles in the US, but Minx is definitely an eye-catching addition given it’s yet another title to come from the Starz library in recent months. Headlined by Ophelia Lovibond, Jessica Lowe, and Oscar Montoya, the unique series, which has definite similarities with the Netflix favorite GLOW, follows a young feminist as she breaks through into the publishing industry by creating the world’s first erotic magazine. It ran for two seasons before sadly getting canceled, but it is 100% worthy of your time.
Had I Not Seen the Sun (Part I)
Coming to Netflix: November 13, 2025

Had I Not Seen the Sun is an international series debuting in November 2025 that particularly stands out. A Taiwanese series, it’s described as gritty, psychological, and mind-bending. It takes place when a notorious serial killer gets interviewed by a young woman for a film. However, as the interview progresses, his complicated past reveals a deep web of heartbreak connected to his first love.
Netflix’s Taiwanese projects have seen plenty of success over the years, most notably Copycat Killer, which was the first Taiwanese series to chart in Netflix’s Global Top 10 for non-English shows.
A Man on the Inside (Season 2)
Coming to Netflix: November 20, 2025

Picture: Netflix
A Man on the Inside was a big success when it debuted back in 2024. The 8-episode first season followed Charles (Ted Danson), a retired professor who gets hired by a private investigator to go undercover inside a San Francisco retirement home. Season 1 currently holds an impressive 96% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
While we don’t yet have a trailer, Netflix has released a comprehensive synopsis for the second season: “Eager to take on another big undercover case, Charles Nieuwendyk (Ted Danson) gets his chance when a mysterious blackmailer targets Wheeler College president Jack Berenger (Max Greenfield), who enlists Charles to go undercover as a professor. Who’s making these threats? Does it have something to do with the iconoclastic billionaire Brad Vinick (Gary Cole), a Wheeler graduate, and his proposed donation to the school? Charles finds no shortage of possible suspects, but his attention gets diverted by free-spirited music teacher Mona (Mary Steenburgen), whose zest for life awakens feelings he thought he’d buried after the passing of his wife. Is he ready to open his heart again at this stage in his life? And more importantly, has he fallen for the very criminal he’s been sent to unmask?
Stranger Things 5 (Volume 1)
Coming to Netflix: November 26, 2025
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the final season of Stranger Things is undoubtedly the standout release of November 2025. It all begins with Volume 1, which consists of the first 4 episodes.
The final season is all set up to be just about as epic as it gets. At the end of season 4, our group stood frozen as Vecna, revealed to be alive, began to spill the hellish Upside Down landscape into Hawkins. After Volume 1, the series returns on Christmas for episodes 5-7, and one last time on New Year’s Eve for the series finale. The final battle looms, and it promises to be the TV event of the year.
There’s not much more we need to say here but suffice to say that it’s going to be the biggest season to date with a monster budget and anticipation at fever pitch – buckle up.
